BEYOND BATOKA

The Batoka Gorge cradles the mighty Zambezi River on its journey towards the Indian Ocean. Beyond its walls in every direction lays the worlds most amazing animals, the hardest part for most is which way to travel in. Luckily for most overland travellers the Batoka Gorge seems to be the one dot on the map that they will pass over on their onward journeys. The Majestic Victoria Falls or Mosi Oa Tunya as its locally called is what most travelers have come to see, but it is the gorge itself that separates Sub Saharan Africa, beyond its reach lays a plethora of animals all trying to survive on what I think is the most beautiful continent on earth. These images have been taken on my various overland adventures. It has been from one direction to the other that I have travelled over and a few times through the Batoka Gorge and it's been beyond its borders that I have found this beauty that is shown on the gallery above.
